The main reasons are prioritization and time.
While there have been numerous experiments performed to validate the predictions of SRT, many of them fall into a few major classes; Michelson and Morley, Ives and Stillwell, Kennedy and Thorndike, and more recently, the faster-than-light class. This is why I evaluated the Michelson and Morley, and Ives and Stillwell experiments first.
